ABOUT US

Little Pebbles was opened in 1980 as a ministry of East Rockaway Church of the Nazarene to provide the youngest children in our local community with exceptional Christian education and care. Since then, over 40 years later, our mission has not changed: to provide a well-rounded educational experience in a safe and loving environment

We are a New York State-licensed facility under the auspices of NY Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS), where our qualified personnel are up to date on state regulations and protocols, and regularly pursue further training and education to ensure the most comprehensive care for the children.

MISSION

We are grateful you have chosen our school to nurture and guide your child through these important, formative years and thank you for entrusting them in our care. Preschoolers are among the future’s brightest and most talented students. As we begin each new school year, we are excited to open our arms to many new little faces and are just as happy to welcome back several returning students. Whether you are already familiar with this close-knit learning community or are newly relocated, we

hope you enjoy your experience with us. We are dedicated to our mission to educate children academically, support them emotionally and physically, and most importantly, planting the seeds for a love of Jesus in each child.

MEET OUR DIRECTOR

Joyce Terry, Director

"I am an ordained minister of the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana) and studied at Anderson University, Mid-America Christian University, and Indiana Wesleyan University.

I have served children and their families for over three decades throughout the country and abroad. I grew up in rural Indiana and was raised in a large, Christian family with two sisters and twelve brothers. My personal passions include singing, reading, fashion - namely wearing hats - writing, teaching, and spending time with my husband, traveling with friends, and spoiling my nieces and nephews.

I am delighted to be on this journey with you and look forward to growing together and making many amazing memories!"
